1929–30 Romanian Hockey League season
The 1929-30 Romanian Hockey League season was the fifth season of the Romanian Championship. Tenis Club Roman Bucharest won the championship.[1]
Tenis Club Roman Bucharest traveled to Cernauti to take on the local clubs that challenged them. After winning both of their games, they were crowned Romanian champions by the sports subcommittee.
The decision to award the title appeared to have been premature, as a team from Miercurea Ciuc also wished to participate in the championship. However, their application came too late, and Tenis Club retained the title without any further games played.
Championship
- Maccabi Cernauti - Tenis Club Roman Bucharest 0:11 (0:4, 0:3, 0:3)
- Cernauti Combination - Tenis Club Roman Bucharest 0:6 (0:3, 0:1, 0:2) - this game was not officially part of the championship.
Tenis Club Roman Bucharest, without Constantin Tico, who was in Bucharest for university exams, won the Romanian Championship by defeating Maccabi Cernauti. They also played a match against a Cernauti Combination team.
Maccabi's hockey section was formed in 1927 by Adolf König, who became president of the Bukovina Regional League at the same time.
