Liga Regionala de Nord

[3]

Controversy surrounding the league exploded following a meeting on December 24. In a prior meeting, it had been decided that teams had to pay fees to the league by December 7, or be barred from participating in the regional championship. As there was no ice yet, some teams did not hurry to pay the fees, and for this reason, Maccabi, CFR, Wawel, Dovbusch, and Borochow were expelled from the competition. It thus appeared that Muncitorul would be awarded the championship without playing, as HC Iasi declined to compete, Dragos Voda II was ineligible for the title, and Victoria had not yet show any activity. The suspended clubs turned to the Romanian Ice Hockey Federation, and had their bans lifted, leading to the league playing as usual.

It was divided into two groups. Group A: Dragos Voda II, Borochow, Victoria, Wawel. Group B: CFR, Maccabi, Muncitorul.

  • 1/25: Dragos Voda Cernauti II - Borochow Cernauti 4:1 (2:1, 1:0, 1:0)
  • 1/25: Muncitorul Cernauti - CFR Cernauti 0:0
  • 1/27: Wawel Cernauti - Victoria Cernauti 5:1 (2:0, 3:1, 0:0)
  • 1/27: Muncitorul Cernauti - Maccabi Cernauti 6:0 (3:0, 1:0, 2:0)
  • 1/31: CFR Cernauti - Maccabi Cernauti 0:0
  • 1/31: Dragos Voda Cernauti II - Wawel Cernauti 3:1 (2:0, 0:1, 1:0)
  • 1/31: Borochow Cernauti - Victoria Cernauti 2:0 (2:0, 0:0, 0:0)
  • 2/5: CFR Cernauti - Muncitorul Cernauti 2:1 (1:0, 1:1, 1:0)
  • 2/5: Wawel Cernauti - Borochow Cernauti 2:1 (0:0, 0:0, 2:1)
  • 2/11: CFR Cernauti - Maccabi Cernauti 4:1 (0:0, 3:0, 1:1)
  • 2/12: Borochow Cernauti - Wawel Cernauti 2:2 (0:0, 2:1, 0:1)
  • 2/17: CFR Cernauti - Dragos Voda Cernauti II Not played - final

Victoria Cernauti withdrew and had their results erased. The final was not played as the ice had thawed, and CFR Cernauti was awarded the league title, as Dragos Voda II could not be champions according to the regulations, and HC Iasi, who was supposed to play off with the Cernauti champion, had withdrawn from the competition. CFR Cernauti was thus set to play in the Liga Championship in Bucharest

It was uncertain whether the third league champion, Muresul Targu Mures, would participate. It appears the competition wound up being canceled.
