1972–73 Romanian Hockey League season
The 1972-73 Romanian Hockey League season was the 45th season of the Romanian Hockey League. Four teams participated in the league, and Dinamo Bucuresti won the championship.[1]
Group A
- Overview
The first round of matches were played in Miercurea Ciuc from October 19-22, 1972. Dinamo Bucuresti defeated Steaua Bucuresti 4-2 to secure their position atop the table. The second round of games took place between November 9-12. Dinamo was atop the table with 11 pts, followed by Steaua with 9 and Avantul and Dunarea with 2 apiece.
Galati hosted the third round from December 7-10. There were two 3-3 ties in the round, between Dinamo-CSA and Avantul-Dunarea. In the new year, the championship resumed in Bucharest on January 7. Dinamo claimed a 2-1 victory over CSA, while Dunarea solidified their third-place position with a 1-0 win over Avantul.
The fifth and final round was staged in Bucharest from February 7-10. Dinamo had already clinched the title, but still managed to defeat their local rivals 5-4. Dunarea claimed third place in the championship with a 3-2 win over Avantul.
