The 1942-43 Romanian Hockey League season was intended to be the 17th season of the Romanian Championship. All games took place during daylight hours as night time lighting was prohibited due to Soviet bombing.[1]

Regional Competitions

Northern Regional Championship

HC Iasi qualified for the final round automatically. Universitatea Sibiu and Dragos Voda Cernauti forfeited their participation in the regional championshio.

Bucharest Regional Championship

  • February 13, 1943: Juventus Bucharest 17 - Viforul-Dacia Bucharest 1 (5:1, 6:0, 6:0)
  • February 13, 1943: Venus Bucharest 2 - PTT Bucharest 0 (0:0, 0:0, 2:0)
  • February 14, 1943: Juventus Bucharest 4 - PTT Bucharest 0 (0:0, 1:0, 3:0)
  • February 14, 1943: Venus Bucharest - Viforul Dacia Bucharest 6-3 (2:1, 0:1, 4:1), changed to 0-6 Forfeit*
  • February 15, 1943: Viforul Dacia Bucharest 1 - PTT Bucharest 1 (0:0, 1:0, 0:1)
  • February 17, 1943: Juventus Bucharest 6 - Venus Bucharest 0 (Forfeit)

(*Venus' 6-3 win against Viforul-Dacia was changed to a 6-0 forfeit defeat due to the use of an ineligible player for Venus. In protest of this decision, they did not appear for the last match (on a rink where the ice was quickly melting, no less) against Venus, which was also recorded as a 6-0 forfeit loss. Thus, Venus placed third and did not qualify for the national championship.)
