This was the 1929 ice hockey season in Australia:
Overview
The Victorian Championship series in Melbourne was held for the 15th time. The participants were Brighton, Essendon, Hawthorn, and St. Kilda. The title was won by Brighton.
The 14th Goodall Cup Inter-State Series between Victoria and New South Wales was staged in August 1929. It was won by New South Wales, 3-games-to-none.
The eighth New South Wales Championship took place in Sydney. St. George (who replaced North Sydney), Eastern Suburbs, Western Suburbs, and the Glebe Lions competed. Glebe won the championship. A reserve grade competition featuring the same clubs was also contested.[1]
