Overview
The Victorian Championship series in Melbourne was held for the 23rd time. The participants were Essendon, Brighton and Hawthorn. The title was won by Hawthorn.
The 22nd Goodall Cup Inter-State Series between Victoria and New South Wales was staged from July 17-21, 1937. It was won by New South Wales.
The 15th New South Wales Championship took place in Sydney. St. George, Eastern Suburbs, Western Suburbs, and the Glebe Lions competed. St. George won the championship. A reserve grade competition featuring 11 teams was also contested.[1]
