Overview

The Victorian Championship series in Melbourne was held for the 45th time. The Pirates, Demons, Blackhawks, Tigers, Monarchs, and Hakoah participated. The title was won by the Dandenong Blackhawks.

The 36th New South Wales Championship took place in Sydney. The Prague Bombers, Glebe Lions, St. George, and East Monarchs competed. St. George won the Championship.

The 39th Goodall Cup Inter-State Series between Victoria and New South Wales was staged from August 15-18, 1965. Victoria won the cup.

The fifth Australian National Club Championship was played. It was won by the Dandenong Blackhawks, who defeated St. George.
