Overview

The Victorian Championship series in Melbourne was held for the 42nd time. The Pirates, Demons, Blackhawks, Tigers, Monarchs, and Hakoah participated. The title was won by the Melbourne Monarchs.

The 33rd New South Wales Championship took place in Sydney. The Prague Bombers, Glebe Lions, St. George, East Monarchs, and Western Suburbs competed. The Glebe Lions won the Championship.

The 36th Goodall Cup Inter-State Series between Victoria and New South Wales was staged from August 19-23, 1962. Victoria won the cup.

The second Australian National Club Championship, and the first since 1955, was played. It was won by the Glebe Lions.
