HC Ciocanul Bucharest won the title on goal differential (which was calculated by dividing goals scored and received and not by differentiation). Heading into their final match against the hosts, Ciocanul was aware that they only needed a draw to clinch the championship, and thus played conservatively.

The 1946-47 Romanian Hockey League season was the 20th season of the Romanian Hockey League. Four teams participated in the league, and HC Ciocanul Bucharest won the championship.

Regional Championships

Southern Zone

Played at the Venus rink from January 12-14, 1947. The participants were HC Ciocanul Bucharest, Textil Buhusi, and HC Stadiul Roman. Ciocanul and Textil advanced to the national championship.

It was originally planned to hold the championship in Bucharest from January 19-26, but rain made the ice unplayable, so the competition was relocated to Targu Mures. HC Ciocanul Bucharest won the title on goal differential (which was calculated by dividing goals scored and received and not by differentiation). Heading into their final match against the hosts, Ciocanul was aware that they only needed a draw to clinch the championship, and thus played conservatively.
