Overview
The Victorian Championship series in Melbourne was held for the 35th time. The participating teams were the Pirates, Raiders, Demons, Wildcats, Monarchs, Golden Bears, Blackhawks, and the Tigers. The title was won by the Bendigo Raiders.
The 33rd Goodall Cup Inter-State Series between Victoria and New South Wales was staged from September 10-17, 1954. Victoria won the cup.
The 28th New South Wales Championship took place in Sydney. The Western Suburbs Panthers, St. George Ex-Imperials, Prague Bombers, Glebe Lions, and the Eastern Suburbs Paratells took part in the competition. The Prague Bombers won the championship.
