Overview
The Victorian Championship series in Melbourne was held for the 19th time. The participants were Brighton, Essendon, and Hawthorn. The title was won by Essendon. There was also a reserve grade league staged.
The 18th Goodall Cup Inter-State Series between Victoria and New South Wales was staged from July 30-August 2, 1933. It was won by New South Wales.
The 12th New South Wales Championship took place in Sydney. St. George, Eastern Suburbs, Western Suburbs, and the Glebe Lions competed. Glebe won the championship. A reserve grade competition featuring the same clubs was also contested.
