This was the 1946 ice hockey season in Australia:
Overview
The Victorian Championship series in Melbourne was held for the 27th time, and the first since 1940. The participating clubs were Eastern, Northern, Southern, and Western Suburbs. The title was won by Western Suburbs.
The 25th Goodall Cup Inter-State Series between Victoria and New South Wales was staged from August 3-7, 1946. New South Wales retained the cup.
The 20th New South Wales Championship took place in Sydney. St. George, Eastern Suburbs, Western Suburbs, and the Glebe Lions competed.
