Overview

The Victorian Championship series in Melbourne was held for the 53rd time. The title was won by the Monarchs.

The 44th New South Wales Championship took place in Sydney. The Glebe Lions won the championship.

The 47th Goodall Cup Inter-State Series between Victoria and New South Wales was staged from August 5-7, 1973. Victoria won the cup.

The 13th Australian National Club Championship was played. It was won by the Monarchs.
