Overview

The Victorian Championship series in Melbourne was held for the 36th time. The participating teams were the Monarchs, Wildcats, Pirates, Demons, Arcana, and the Blackhawks. The title was won by the Dandenong Blackhawks.

The 34th Goodall Cup Inter-State Series between Victoria and New South Wales was staged from August 19-26, 1955. Victoria won the cup.

The 29th New South Wales Championship took place in Sydney. St. George, Western Suburbs, Eastern Suburbs, Glebe Lions, and the Prague Bombers took part in the competition. The Prague Bombers won the championship.

The Dandenong Blackhawks defeated the Prague Bombers to win the inaugural Australian National Club Championship.
