This was the 1953 ice hockey season in Australia:

Overview

The Victorian Championship series in Melbourne was held for the 34th time. The participating teams were the Pirates, Tigers, Monarchs, Red Arrows, Golden Bears, Raiders, Blackhawks, Demons, and Wildcats. The title was won by the Bendigo Raiders.

The 32nd Goodall Cup Inter-State Series between Victoria and New South Wales was staged from September 5-10, 1953. Victoria won the cup.

The 27th New South Wales Championship took place in Sydney. The Western Suburbs Tigers, St. George, Glebe Lions, Prague Bombers, and the Eastern Suburbs Monarchs took part in the competition.
