Overview

The Victorian Championship series in Melbourne was held for the 51st time. The title was won by Hakoah.

The 42nd New South Wales Championship took place in Sydney. The Prague Bombers, Glebe Lions, St. George, Homebush, Hotspurs, and Canterbury competed. The Prague Bombers won the championship.

The 45th Goodall Cup Inter-State Series between Victoria and New South Wales was staged from July 31-August 2, 1971. New South Wales won the cup.

The 11th Australian National Club Championship was played. It was won by the St. George, who defeated Hakoah.
