"In the first of three ice hockey matches between New South Wales and Victoria, which will decide the destination of the Goodall Cup for 1930, was played at the Glaciarium on Saturday night and resulted in a win for New South Wales by two goals to nil. The visitors played with splendid combination and their first line of defence was practically impenetrable. Best players:- New South Wales: Raith and Harrison, Victoria: Molony and Cullen. New South Wales won the Goodall Shield for 1930 when it defeated Victoria for the second time in the match on Monday.
