The 1983 Goodall Cup was the 57th edition of the inter-state ice hockey series in Australia. New South Wales won the cup for the 29th time in total.

The competition was played at the Warringah Ice Skating Centre. G. Grant of Western Australia won the John Nicholas Trophy as the most valuable player (MVP) of the tournament.
