3rd match

"New South Wales completely outplayed Victoria in the third and final match of the interstate ice hockey series at the Glaciarium tonight to win by six goals to one. However, by winning the previous two matches Victoria had already taken the Goodall Cup. NSW captain, Jimmy McLauchlain, performed the hat-trick and played brilliantly throughout. McLauchlain scored in the first quarter and again in the second to put NSW in a sound position for the final period. Ken Kennedy travelled the full length of the rink, beating every Victorian player, to score for NSW. Further goals were added for NSW by Canadian Percy Wendt and W Johhnstone. W Harrison scored for Victoria."
