1931 Goodall Cup
The 1931 Goodall Cup was the 16th edition of the inter-state series between Victoria and New South Wales. It was won by New South Wales, who claimed the championship for the 12th time in total. They would retain the trophy until 1947.

"New South Wales retained the Goodall Cup by beating Victoria in the third of the series of interstate matches at the Glaciarium last night by 4 goals to nil. Goal scorers were J Brown, K Kennedy, and VV Johnson (2) goals. The game was fast and spectacular; and good work by the goalkeepers of either side kept down the scoring."
