The 1987 Goodall Cup was the 61st edition of the inter-state ice hockey competition in Australia. South Australia won the cup for the second consecutive year.

The competition was played at the Phillip Rink in Canberra from October 22-25, 1987. R. Black of Victoria won the John Nicholas Trophy as the most valuable player (MVP) of the tournament.

Results

New South Wales and Western Australia withdrew at the last minute.
