The 1988 Goodall Cup was the 62nd edition of the inter-state ice hockey series in Australia. New South Wales won the cup for the 32nd time in total. The competition was held at the Philip Ice Skating Rink in Canberra. Arto Malste of South Australia won the John Nicholas Trophy as the most valuable player (MVP) of the tournament.
