The 2001 Goodall Cup was the 74th edition of the inter-state ice hockey competition in Australia. It was won by the Sydney Bears. The Queensland Cyclones finished second. Vladimir Rubes of Sydney won the John Nicholas Trophy as the most valuable player (MVP) of the tournament.

This was the last season until 2009 of the Goodall Cup as an independent competition. Starting with the 2002 season, the cup was awarded to the winner of the Australian Ice Hockey League.
