The 1986 Goodall Cup was the 60th edition of the inter-state ice hockey series in Australia. South Australia won the cup for the first time, becoming the fourth state to claim the inter-state title.
The competition was held in Adelaide from August 14-17, 1986. Scott Davidson of Victoria won the John Nicholas Trophy as the most valuable player (MVP) of the tournament.
