The 1964-65 II gruppa season was the 15th season of the II gruppa, the second level of ice hockey in the Soviet Union. 22 teams participated in the league, and Dynamo Kiev won the Western Group while Sibir Novosibirsk claimed the Eastern Group. Both teams were promoted to the Soviet Championship League.
