The 1972-73 Pervaya Liga season was the 23rd season of the Pervaya Liga, the second level of ice hockey in the Soviet Union. 13 teams participated in the league, and Dynamo Riga won the championship and was promoted to the Soviet Championship League. Kristall Saratov qualified for the Promotion-Relegation round.
