The 1929-30 Serie A season was the fourth season of the Serie A, the top level of ice hockey in Italy. Seven teams participated in the competition, and Hockey Club Milano won the championship by defeating GSD Cortina in the final.

The championship returned after a two year absence. It was in fact the first true championship, as the previous editions had consisted only of matches played for the Cinzano Cup, whose winner was recognized in the third season as being the Italian champion. The cup was no longer competed for, beginning this season.

The opening rounds of the competition were held in Collalbo, beginning on January 25. Six teams, divided into two groups, participated in the first round. The top team in each group advanced to the final qualification match, whose winner earned the right to face three-time defending champion Hockey Club Milano in the final, which was held in Cortina d'Ampezzo on February 9.
