1935–36 Serie A (ice hockey) season
The 1935-36 Serie A season was the 10th season of the Serie A, the top level of ice hockey in Italy. HC Diavoli Rossoneri Milano won the championship by defeating ADG Milano in the final.
An autocratic policy was adopted in Italy following the advent of the fascist regime and international sanctions after the country's invasion of Ethiopia. All foreign words were Italianized, so Hockey Club Milano became known as Associazione Disco su Ghiaccio Milano (ADG Milano), while SG Cortina was renamed Associazione Sportiva Ghiaccio (ASG).
As with the previous season, the winner of the Serie B was going to earn a spot in the Serie A championship. In the Serie B, ADG Milano II was going to face ASG Cortina II in the final, but ASG withdrew and forfeited. At this point the Italian Federation decided the final would take place between the first teams of Diavoli Rossoneri Milano and ADG Milano. The first team of ASG Cortina appeared to have withdrawn from the competition.
ADG Milano threatend to withdraw from the competition, but the final was eventually staged on March 17th, after having been postponed twice.
