The 1950-51 Serie A season was the 18th season of the Serie A, the top level of ice hockey in Italy. Nine teams participated in the league, and HC Milan Inter won the championship. The first round was divided into three groups of three teams apiece, with the clubs playing three group matches. The top team from each group advanced to the final round. A maximum of two foreigners per team were permitted to play in the championship.

1. | HC Milan Inter |
2. | HC Amatori Milano |
3. | HC Diavoli Rossoneri Milano |
Inter defeated Rossoneri 7-0 in the first game, and the latter club refused to play the return match due to a busy international schedule. Inter advanced easily to the final round, with Rossoneri forfeiting their participation in the group.
Group B
Club | |

1. | HC Auronzo |
2. | HC Gherdëina |

The game between Auronzo and Gherdëina was not played at first, as the latter club did not show up to the game. Cortina won the group but withdrew after exceptionally heavy snowfall in the club's hometown forced their withdrawal. The federation then decided the un-played game would need to be contested to decide Group B's participant in the final round. The game was played in Milan just before the start of the final round.
