The league folded after the season, bringing an end to professional hockey in the Copper Country. It had been planned to continue the league for 1907-08, and teams from Columbus, Ohio (who had initially been expected to join for 1906-07, but did not due to the lack of a rink), and Toronto, Ontario, were said to be likely to join.[1]

Teams from Rossland and Nelson were challenged to come play in Spokane, but this did not happen as the Electrical Workers union announced that the Star Shingle company (which owned the rink in Spokane), was on the "unfair list", thus preventing several hockey playing union members on the BC teams from playing at the venue. Spokane did participate in the Open Challenge Series of the Rossland Winter Carnival.

After the season, the Spokane rink was taken over by an ice making company. Hockey was not played regularly again in Spokane until 1916.
