The 1949-50 Yugoslav Ice Hockey League season was intended to be the ninth season of the Yugoslav Ice Hockey League, the top level of ice hockey in Yugoslavia.

Croatian Championship

Group 1

2/1

  • Zagreb - Tekstilac Varazdin 6:1 (2:0, 1:1, 3:0)
  • Mladost - Tekstilac Varazdin 13:3 (3:1, 2:1, 8:1)
  • 2/5: Mladost - Zagreb 8:4 (2:1, 4:2, 2:1)

Mladost Zagreb won the Croatian Championship.

Group 2

2/1

  • Korana - Naprijed Zagreb 5:2 (0:0, 2:0, 3:2)
  • Naprijed Sisak - Naprijed Zagreb 8:0 (2:0, 4:0, 2:0)
  • Naprijed Sisak - Korana 5:0 (1:0, 3:0, 1:0)

Slovenian Championship

Qualification round

Group A (@ Jesenice)

1. SD Ljubljana II, 2. Gregorcic Jesenice, 3. Tekstilec Trzic, 4. Zeleznicar Kranj.

Group B (@ Celje)

1. Kladivar Celje, 2. Razlag Brezice, 3. Polet Maribor, 4. Zelznicar Maribor (forfeited).

The top two teams from each group advanced to the final round.

  • Gregorcic - Razlag 10:1
  • Gregorcic - Kladivar 2:1 (0:0, 1:1, 1:0)
  • Kladivar - Razlag 1:1 (0:0, 1:1, 0:0)
  • Ljubljana - Gregorcic 4:3 (1:0, 1:1, 2:2) - With 10 minutes remaining in the match, Ljubljana went ahead 4-3 on a penalty shot. The Jesenice players left the ice in protest, and the match was awarded to Ljubljana by the forfeit score of 6-0.

Vojvodina Championship

Vojvodina Becej was also slated to compete. No further results reported.

Yugoslav Championship

The national championship was postponed from January to February as the weather was mild, leading to bad ice on the Šalata ice rink in Zagreb. Conditions remained unfavorable, so the championship was not played in 1950.
