Final round
The deciding game between Jesenice and Olimpija was embroiled in controversy. The home side Olimpija led 2-0 early but Jesenice soon evened the score. In the third period, Jesenice took the lead, but the goal was disallowed by the official. In protest, Jesenice left the ice and lost the match by forfeit. The club's players then threatened to boycott the World Championships, so the federation allowed the match to be replayed. Jesenice won the replay and were anointed as Yugoslav champions. However, the federation later reneged on this ruling, and awarded the title to Olimpija.
5th-8th place
