Junior hockey in Austria currently consists of leagues ranging from under 11 to under 20. The competitions are administered by the Austrian Ice Hockey Association.
The Erste Bank Young Stars League was formed for the 2012-13 season, admitting several foreign teams, and replacing the classification formerly known as Jugend. It folded after 2021-22, with the U20 competition reverting back to being Austrian-only.
The Erste Bank Juniors League was created a year later, following in the EBYSL's footsteps. The league had formerly been known as Schüler. The U16 competition became known as such starting in 2013-14.
