Junior hockey in Poland currently has leagues ranging from under 14 to under 20. Records of Polish junior competitions being played date back to 1954. The leagues are organized by the Polish Ice Hockey Federation.
Each age group has its own nickname. Juniorzy refers to the U20 (U21 from 2006-2014) classification, Juniorzy Mlodsi is the name of the U18 competitions, while U16s are named Mlodziki. The youngest age groups, U14 and U12, are called Zaki Starszi and Zaki Mlodszi, respectively. The U20 League is also known as the Centralna Liga Juniorów.
In many years, the final tournaments for the ages U16 and younger have been regarded as unofficial.
As with most other European countries, the majority Poland's junior teams are under the umbrella of a senior professional club.
