The Erste Bank Young Stars League is the national under 20 ice hockey league in Austria. It was established for the 2012-13 season. In addition to the Austrian teams, the league is also represented by teams from the Czech Republic, Hungary, Croatia and Slovenia. The U20 Austrian competition is also known simply as Jugend.The 2022-23 season being contested solely by Austrian teams.

The first national junior championship was staged in Austria in 1954-55. Prior to this, competitions such as the Jugend-Wanderpreis and the Jugend Cup had been held. It was a U19 competition until 1970, when the age limit was increased to under 20.

  • 1951-52 (Jugendwanderpokal): EC KAC, SV Leoben, Innsbrucker EV, EC Kitzbuhel, Wiener JSV A, Wiener JSV B, Wiener EV A, and Wiener EV B participated. KAC won.
  • 1950-51 (Jugendwanderpreis des OEHV): Innsbrucker EV, EK Engelmann Wien, Grazer SpV, WAT 16, SV Leoben, Wiener EV A, and Wiener EV B participated. IEV won, finishing ahead of WEV.
