The Latvian Women's Hockey League is the national women's ice hockey competition in Latvia.
Estonian teams also participated in the league during the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons. HK Pantera Minsk from Belarus played in and won the Latvian League in 2011 and 2012.
The league was first contested in 2004-05, but the first women's ice hockey team in Latvia, SHK Laima Riga, was founded in the spring of 1989. Their first opponent was from Kharkiv, Ukraine, with the game taking place at the Daugava ice rink on March 30, 1991.
