Junior hockey in Denmark currently has age groups ranging from U13 to U20. All younger competitions are conducted solely on a regional level.
Since 2021-22, the Talentligaen has served as the under-20 competition. The younger leagues are all divided into regional groups at the outset, with the top teams advancing to play in the playoffs (national finals).
Prior to the 2007-08 season, the age groups were restructured, with U19 becoming U20, U16 going to U17, U14 changing to U15, and U12 moving to U13.
