The Suomi-sarja served as the second-level ice hockey league in Finland, below the SM-sarja from 1936-1974. The I-Divisioona became the new second tier league for the 1974-75 season.

- 1962-63: TPS Turku won the league and was promoted to the SM-sarja. WU Warkaus, who won the playoff between the second and third place teams, was also promoted.
- 1963-64: HIFK Helisnki won the league and was promoted to the SM-sarja. RU-38 Pori, the second place team, was also promoted.
- 1964-65: Karpat Oulu (North), TuTo Turku (Southwest), Reipas Lahti (Southeast)
- 1965-66: Hermes Kokkola (North), Tappara Tampere (West), SaPKo Savonlinna (East)
- 1966-67: Karpat Oulu (North), Upon Pallo Lahti (West), HIFK Helsinki (East)
- 1967-68: VehU Tampere (North), Lukko Rauma (West), SaPKo Savonlinna (East)
- 1968-69: Jokerit Helsinki won the league and was promoted to the SM-sarja. TPS Turku, the second place team, was also promoted.
- 1969-70: HJK Helsinki won the league and was promoted to the SM-sarja. Kiekko-67 Turku, the second place team, was also promoted.
- 1970-71: JoKP Joensuu won the league and was promoted to the SM-sarja. K-Kissat Helsinki, the second place team, was also promoted.
