The 1953-54 Suomi-sarja season was contested as the second tier of Finnish hockey. 21 teams participated in the league, and Lukko won the championship and was promoted alongside KyPa Karhula.

Regular season

The league was divided into four groups, the winners qualifying for promotion to the SM-sarja.
