The Lithuania Hockey League is the premier men's ice hockey league in Lithuania. It is currently known as the Nacionaline Ledo Ritulo Lyga (NLRL).
SC Energija has been the dominant force in the Lithuanian League, having won a total of 18 championships. No other team has won more than two.
The Lithuanian Championship had previously been contested in inter-war Lithuania from 1925 to 1942. Lithuanian teams then participated in the Lithuanian SSR Championship during Soviet times.
The National Hockey League (Nacionaline Ledo Ritulo Lyga (NLRL) was established in on September 22, 2010.
