This was the 1922-23 season in Soviet bandy:

Petrograd Championship

The Petrograd Championship was played for the first time since 1915 and replaced the Petrograd Hockey League as the main competition in the city. It was divided into A and B groups of four teams apiece.

Group A

The competition was played from December 21 to March 4.

Second Division

Yusupov Garden II won.

Moscow Championship

The Moscow Championship was contested for the first time in 1923. It was divided into two groups, with the top teams meeting in the final. A Second Division was also held.

Group 1

OFV lost 24-0 to the Moscow River Yacht Club in their first game and withdrew from the competition. Novogireevo also withdrew.

Second Division

The final match of the Second Division between ISS and Union Moscow ended in a 6-6 draw, with Union refusing to play overtime in protest of the officiating. The competition panel rejected their complaint, and awarded the title to ISS.
