The Tweede Divisie is the third level of ice hockey in the Netherlands, below the Eredivisie and the Eerste Divisie.
The first third-level competition was contested as the 3de Klasse in 1947-48 and was held until 1949-50. It was also known as the Competitie Afdeling AA in 1948-49.
The third tier of Dutch hockey was also (from 1967 to 1991) known as the 3e Divisie. It was then referred to as the Reserve Divisie from 1991 to 1993. The competition later became known as the 2e Divisie in 1993-94.
The competition was called the Toekomst Divisie from 1994-1999. It then became the Regiocompetitie from 2000-2004.
