Junior hockey in Spain currently consists of leagues ranging in age from U15 to U20. They are governed by the Spanish Ice Sports Federation.
In many years, joint competitions with France (known as the Transpyrenees Championship) were organized across the various age groups. Some years, the joint competition was contested alongside the national championship, but in others it was the sole form of competition.
