The Danish Cup is the national cup competition in Denmark. It was first contested in the 1988-89 season.
It was known as the Air Canada Cup between 1997-98 and 1999-00. From 2001-02 until 2008-09, it was simply known as the Danish Cup. From 2009-2013 it was called the AL-Bank Cup. It has been known as the Metal Cup since 2013.
