Junior hockey in Slovakia consists of national championships at the U16 through U20 age groups. They are organized by the Slovak Ice Hockey Federation.
The Slovak U20 Extraliga is the top level U20 league. Next in line is the Slovak U20 1.Liga. The same system is in place at the U18 level, with the Slovak U18 Extraliga serving as the top-level league and the Slovak U18 1.Liga as the second-tier competition.
