The 1973–74 Division 2 season was the second tier of ice hockey in Sweden for 1973–74. The league consisted of 79 teams, divided into eight geographical groups of 9-10 teams apiece. The eight group winners continued to a promotion qualifier, which resulted in Skellefteå AIK and Karlskoga/Bofors being promoted to Division 1 for the 1974–75 season.
