Gislaveds SK
Gislaveds SK or Gislaved Sportkklubb is a Swedish sports club founded in 1952. It is best known for it's men's ice hockey team. The hockey team is based out of the Gislerinken in Gislaved, Sweden.
History
The team played from 1967 (with one year of interruption) in the second-tier division 2. In 1975, the club was included in the new second division, Division 1, from which it was relegated at the end of the 1975-76 season and in the following years usually played in the now third-tier division 2.
In 1999, the first team from Gislaved made the reclimb to the second division, which was simultaneously renamed Allsvenskan. Between 1999 and 2002, the Gislaveds SK stayed in this class before the relegation to the third-tier Division 1 followed.
In the 2002–03 season, the team had relegated to the fourth-tier Division 2 at the end of the season. Two years later, in the relegation of the 2004–05 season, it was possible to return to Division 1. In the 2011–12 season, Gislaveds SK returned to Division 2, before another decline to the fifth-tier, regionally organised Division 3 followed in 2015.
