Overview

The first Victorian Championship series in Australia was held in the Melbourne Glaciarium between September 14-27, 1909. The final game was held on the evening of 27 September 1909 and was between the Glaciarium and Melburnians. The Glaciarium won the championship final by a score of 3-0 and were awarded gold medals.

The first Inter-State Series between Victoria and New South Wales was staged from August 31-September 4, 1909. It was won by Victoria, 2-games-to-one.

Glaciarium won the minor premiership (regular season), so they faced the playoff-winning Melburnians in the grand final.
