The Whitehorse Police intended to participate in a tournament that was slated to be held in Dawson in late January 1903.
In March, there were talks of the Dawson Civil Service team traveling East to play for the Stanley Cup the next winter, possibly playing a series in New York City too. This did not materialize, but in 1905, the [[Dawson City Nuggets]] wound up challenging for the Stanley Cup.
