"We would not expect such despicable and ungentlemanly treatment as the Chebuctos have shown the Ramblers, from a team of Digger Indians, and the only motive we can ascribe for such, is cowardice. They probably thought they would have a soft thing playing Truro, and preferred to break their word and defile their honor rather than meet defeat at the hands of the Ramblers."

There were plans for a three game Coloured Hockey League series between the Africville Seasides and Halifax Eurekas, the first set to be played on March 6, but no results were reported.
